Our New Addition

I had the best Anniversary surprise waiting for me on my doorstep.  Tyson was holding a puppy in his arms, with a golden ribbon around her neck.

My wish finally came true!

Meet Baby Girl Gi Gi.....

She is a Goldendoodle.  Tyson and I absolutely adore her.  We can't get enough of her brown eyes and her floppy ears.  It is hard to go anywhere because I just want to play with her.

I believe we may have crossed the line into the crazy dog lovers group.  Believe me before this little girl, I was not a fan.

We had our friends Shaun and Brooke snap some photos of us.  They are always so sweet and willing to help us.

Our One Year Anniversary was perfect!  We got GiGi and played with her all day and then went to dinner at Ruth's Chris.

I love my hubby and am grateful he caved and got us GiGi.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

About a month ago my sweet hubs booked a flight for my mama.  He knew just how much I missed her.  The anticipation for her arrival was immense.  Thursday afternoon I picked her up from the airport.  I couldn't see her, but I heard her voice calling my name.  I was so thrilled I got to spend some much needed time with her.

Some highlights of her trip

Sakanaya! Yum

Taco Wagon! Extra Yum

My mom happens to be the most incredible sewer.  I am obsessed with everything she makes.  I thought I would take advantage of the time and have her teach me how to sew, not that she didn't try when I was younger.  She made me a table runner and helped me get started on some baby blankets.

(If you are having a baby some time soon, you might get lucky enough to get one of my crocheted blankets.  However, don't look too close at the sewing job.)

I HAD to show my mom the puppies I have been talking about for over a year now.

Meet GiGi and my happy husband.....

How could you not fall in love with this face!

I really, really, really want one!

Yogurtland!  YUM, YUM, YUMMY!

Yes, her vacation may have been revolved around food, but that's what we do best!  My mom was even able to come to my first Zumba class.  Might I add, she did amazing!  We laid by the pool, talked for hours, ate lots of delicious food, and spent some quality time with each other.

Saying goodbye was awful.  I HATE goodbyes.  It was hard to drop her off at the airport.  I may have shed a tear or two, but thank heavens for Skype.

I love my mom and was so happy she came!  I look forward to many more visits from my mama.

One Year Anniversary

I can't believe how fast this past year has flown by.  One year ago tomorrow I married the man of my dreams.  Cliche, I know, but it's true.  I remember waking up that morning so incredibly excited, taking extra time to make sure my hair and makeup were perfect, and counting down each and every minute until I could get in the car with my mom to have her drive me to the Draper Temple.  I remember walking into the Temple so ecstatic to see Tyson.  We walked together into the sealing room hand in hand, filled with joy.  Words cannot describe the feeling that swept over me as I looked around and had so many people that I loved there to support us.  I remember looking into Tyson's eyes and feeling like I was the luckiest girl in the world.  I remember walking out of the Temple with Tyson as a newly married couple.  I remember my mouth hurting from smiling so much.  I LOVED my wedding day!  I will never forget the feelings that came over me that day.  I will never forget what it meant to me to dance with my dad's best friend Sam, for my daddy daughter dance.  I will never forget mine and Tyson's first dance.  I will never forget the generosity that everyone gave to us.

I love my man and can't wait for forever!

Happy Mother's Day

Words cannot describe the admiration I feel for my mother.  I have looked up to her since day I was born.  We have grown so close over the years.  I can talk to her about anything and everything.  She is an impeccable listener and gives the wisest advice.  I know I can turn to her for anything.  I have never met someone who has sacrificed so much for her children.  She is truly the most selfless woman I have ever met.  She continues to get more and more beautiful with age.  I look up to her more than she will ever know.  I hope one day to be half the mother that she has been to me.  She is strong, vibrant, hardworking, loving, spiritual, and so much more.

Thank you mom for teaching me all that I know and for helping me become me!

I don't know where or who I would be without you.

Thank you for always listening to my stories and being there for me through the thick and thin.

I LOVE YOU!

I am so lucky to have been blessed with an another amazing mom.  Tyson's mom does so much for us.  It is beyond generous the countless things she does for us daily.  She is always making sure we have food in our fridge, decorations for each holiday, helping me with my Zumba routines, listening to my stories, cooking wonderful meals, serving others so generously, and willing to drop anything to help.  I sit back in awe as she serves others so willingly.

Not to mention, she has raised an amazing young man.  I love the relationship that they share with one another.

There have been so many wonderful women that have made an impact on my life. I am grateful for a day where we can celebrate motherhood.

I hope that everyone has an incredible Mother's Day.

Modest Is Hottest

Growing up my mom would have rather me wear a one-piece, as apposed to a bikini.  Back then it was either a Speedo or a TYR swimsuit to choose from, so I opted with the bikini.  I thought I would never be fond of wearing a one-piece.... until this past year when designers started stepping up there A game, on the traditional one-piece.
I am obsessed with Anthroplogies new line of swimwear.  If you are having trouble finding a cute one-piece, look no further than Anthro, they never disappoint.

Being modest has never been hotter!

Old School

My entire life I have been a NIKE girl!

I never thought I would say this, but kids, I think I might be a changed woman....

I know you all remember your grandma rocking these bad boys.

Or your dad wearing a pair of these sweet kicks.  I remember always wanting to give my brothers a pump or two.

Last night my sweet husband wanted to reward me for working hard.  He knows this girl loves a new pair of shoes.  We both have had our eye on these Reebok Realflex.  The commercial sucked us right in. The second I slipped into these puppies, I was a changed woman.  They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn!

You may find yourself switching over as well.

Go ahead and reward yourself, you deserve it too!
