Baby Shower Take Two and Three

My sweet mother-in-law and sister-in-laws threw me the most amazing baby shower.

I couldn't believe how perfect everything turned out.

Every detail was so thoughtful and cute.

The food spread was out of this world.

They had fruit, veggies, artichoke dip, bruschetta, cheese bread, Oreo cake balls, peanut butter chocolate cake, sugar cookies and cheesecake.

Everything was beyond delicious!!!!

I couldn't stop going back for more.

We played a candy bar game that was hilarious.

Everyone was beyond generous in the gifts that they gave.

Baby girl is going to have the cutest wardrobe.

My favorite is all the books that were given to her.

We had white chocolate M&M popcorn as the favor.

It was such a great evening.  Everyone made me and the baby feel so special and loved.  It will definitely be a night that I will never forget.

My work also put on a baby shower for me, at Cheesecake Factory.

We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu.

We sat for hours chatting about the future and laughing about some unmentionable things.

Having baby showers has defiantly been one of the greatest highlights of this pregnancy.

People have been so great, always helping and teaching me how to be more giving and more generous.

34 1/2 Weeks

According to my What To Expect When You Are Expecting App. baby girl is the size of a large cantaloupe, I however feel like she is the size of a large watermelon.

These last few days have been rough.  I am not one to sugar coat things.  Don't get me wrong, I am ever so grateful to be carrying this baby, but pregnancy is a tough thing.  My feet have now grown two entire shoe sizes.  I seriously cannot believe it.  Acid reflux is through the roof and this little one loves sitting on my sciatic nerve.  Nights have been hard.  I get up almost every hour, poor Tyson.

That husband of mine is a true gem.  He continues to rub my swollen hands and feet everyday.  He even took me shopping the other night, to Destination Maternity, yet again.  It's getting pretty sad over there in those neck of the woods, they are on a first name basis with us.  He let me pick out a couple new outfits for my showers that are this week.  He even let me get my nails done.  That boy sure knows how to make me feel better.

Another lifesaver these days and well every day is my mom.  She has been my lifeline.  When everyone else gets sick of hearing me complain, I know I can pick up the phone and my mom will let me vent and cry to no end.  She doesn't even have to say anything.  She is the greatest listener.  I always get off the phone feeling better, after talking with her.

We are still trying to figure out when she should book her flight.  We don't want her to come too soon, but we also don't want her to miss the delivery.  Sometimes I wish we could see into the future.

I have been so anxious lately.  I know that pregnancy is teaching me patience.  I have started grinding my teeth like crazy.  I do not do well with the unknown.  At my last appointment we found out the baby is still breech.  My doctor said she will check again at my next appointment to see if she has turned.  If she hasn't turned there are two options, have them turn her or c-section.  I pray daily that she will turn.  I have heard nightmare stories about having the doctors turn the baby.  I also never envisioned myself having to have a c-section.  I know this doesn't seem like a big deal to most, but to me it kind of makes me sad.  At the end of the day I will do whatever is best and safest for our baby girl.

The nursery is getting closer and closer to being done.  I cannot wait for the last final things to come together.  I love going in there on a daily basis.  It always makes me feel better.

I am looking forward to my last two showers.  I can't believe the time is finally here.  I also have less than two weeks of work left.  I am praying these next five weeks fly by.

Wish me luck!

Autumn

I've said it before and I will say it again, Fall is my all time favorite season of the year.

The days are ticking away, until baby girl makes her appearance, so Tyson and I are trying to fit in all of our last minute date nights.

This past week we went to a pumpkin patch.

We somehow managed to getaway with bringing Gigi.

As much as we wanted to stash up on pumpkins, the price tag on the scales, swayed us otherwise.

The pumpkin Tyson picked out was over eleven dollars.  He happily picked another one.

This pumpkin patch had the largest corn stalks I have ever seen.  They even had the corn still in tact.

We had a hard time, but finally found a way to squeeze them into the car.

We even made our way to the Fresno State Fair.

I had never been and was intrigued by all the hype.

There was more fried food than I have ever seen.  The corn dogs were the size of my right arm.

Tyson and I indulged in a Navajo Taco, Cookies n' Cream Gelato Shake, and cotton candy.

Looking at the baby lambs was the highlight of the night.  It took me back to my childhood.

It took everything inside of me not to steal one and bring it home with me.

Fall drinks are my favorite.

I discovered Jamba Juice's Pumpkin Smash drink, this past week.

No joke, it was divine.

I have also found myself in the Starbucks drive-through every other day.

I either get a vanilla steamer, or a salted carmel frapp.  Both delectable.

We had a gift card to Yosemite Ranch and decided it was the perfect time to capitalize on a great meal.

They happened to be having a fall special.

Let me tell you what, it was out of this world.

I'm pregnant can you tell........

Anyways we had fried chicken, Alaskan Halibut, cornbread stuffing, butternut squash, green beans, and mashed potatoes.

I have already been trying to convince Tyson to take me back there again.

The meal got me extra excited about Thanksgiving.

I have even busted out a few of my cardigans.  The ones that will still fit, that is.

We still need to make carmel apples and pumpkin shaped sugar cookies.

Oh the joys of this time of year!

Weekend Getaway

Thanks to Tyson and his parents I was able to fly home for the weekend, to see my family.  All I wanted for my birthday was to go home and watch my little brother play football.  I promised him a couple years ago that I wouldn't miss his football games.  Living in California, made that a little difficult.  I was so happy I was able to keep my end of the deal.  I have known about this getaway home since August and the countdown has definitely been on.

My first stop once landing, was to get my hands on my newest nephew.  I did not want to put him down.  He was the sweetest baby I have ever held.

Later that night the fam and I were able to go support Josh in his football game.  The timing was just right because it ended up being Senior Night.  I still can't believe my baby brother is all grown up.

I hadn't been to a High School football game in almost ten years.  I felt right at home at the Wasatch Wasps Stadium.  The field got a makeover since I had been there last.

It felt so good to be cold for once.  My swelling even went down a touch.

We ended the night at the one and only Dairy Keen, for a chicken club carr meal.  YUM!!!!

Saturday I enjoyed listening to Conference as we drove down the canyon for my baby shower.

My mom and sisters worked so hard to make my shower just PERFECT!

They slaved away in the kitchen making soups, salads, desserts, and homemade bread.

They did such a great job at making me and the babe feel so special.

It was so much fun catching up with all of my friends.

Everyone was beyond generous.  I couldn't believe how many outfits, bows, toys, blankets, and more she got.

I still need to post the pictures of the quilt and crocheted baby blankets my mom made.  They are all gorgeous.

My friend Jessica is 17 weeks pregnant here.  You would never know!

My brothers still cannot get over the fact I am pregnant.  It was so cute to have them always wanting to feel the baby move.

Utah will always hold a special place in my heart, especially during the fall.  It was such a perfect weekend.  If only it could have lasted a little longer.  It was nice, however, to come home to my hubby.  My smile went ear to ear as soon as I saw him through the gates at the airport.

Until next year....

Belly Photos

While I was in Utah for the past weekend, my dear friend Jessie took some maternity photos of me and the belly.  She is so talented and I feel so blessed to have her as a friend.

Here are just a few of my favorites!

If you can't tell we had a lot of fun.
