Memorial Weekend

Memorial weekend has always been such a highlight for me.  I remember looking forward to Memorial Day every year growing up.  We would go visit my grandparent's graves with all of my aunts and uncles, followed by Litza's Pizza.

Since we could not be in Utah, Tyson and I decided to start our own traditions here in California.

We started the weekend of with the Farmer's Market.  I have so much fun walking down the streets of Old Town Clovis with my guy.  The streets are filled with delicious fruits, veggies, and fried food.  You also can't beat the live music.

I make sure to get myself cotton candy, corn on the cob, and homemade lemonade every time we go.

The corn is so spicy but so worth the flavor.

Being pregnant has turned me into a semi-healthy girl.  I crave fruits and veggies all day long.  My new favorite midnight snack is tomatoes smothered in salt and pepper.

GiGi has enjoyed having a buddy around, even though more than half the time we are ripping them apart from one another.  By the end of the day they are all tuckered out.

Kiersten is still in town, which has been awesome.  I feel spoiled.

Memorial Day we decided to hit the lake.  I have to say, it felt so good to be outside.  There is just something about being out on the lake listening to good music and eating delicious food.

Tyson's entire family came to the lake.  It was so much fun to have everyone there.  We might have even convinced my father-in-law to go to Lake Powell next year.

I had to sit on the boat next to these two skinny minis the entire day.

At one point Tyson's friend Shaun drove us to some cliffs for the boys to jump off of.  The one they were going to jump off was enormous.  It was around 60 feet.  I yelled to Tyson from the boat to please not jump.  I reminded him he has a baby on the way.  I was so happy all the boys decided to take the safe route and jump off the baby rock.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of the huge cliff.  There was no comparison.

I lived vicariously through Tyson and my sister as they wake surfed and wake boarded.

I enjoyed floating in the water.  It felt amazing.

After the lake we went to Tyson's cousins house for a BBQ.  The food was delicious.

Of course we couldn't forget what Memorial Day is all about.  This Memorial Day was extra special, having a family member in the military.  My brother-in-law Jordan is the the Marine Corps.  He has been deployed for six months now.  I am so grateful for the sacrifices he has made being away from Kiersten and his family.  There have been so many and are so many who continue to fight for our freedom.  I am grateful for everything they have and continue to do for our country.

Jordan gets home one week from today!

Hip Hip Hooray!

I cannot wait for my sister to see her hubby again!

Happy Memorial Day!

Anniversary

Last weekend Tyson and I celebrated our Anniversary.

I have to say it was one of the best days.

I woke up to this beautiful blue box!

I have always wanted a blue box.....

Tyson caved and got me a necklace.  I love it and have worn it every day since.

We went to breakfast in Fig Garden.  We enjoyed french pastries and hot chocolate.

It was so wonderful to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the fantastic weather.

We then walked around all of my favorite stores.  J Crew, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Whole Foods.

We then headed to Panera Bread for lunch and finished our shopping off at the REI Anniversary Sale.

Later that night we ate at Fleming's.  They have the best steaks and chocolate molten lava cake.

We finished off the evening with a couples massage.  Tyson planned the perfect day for us.

I loved spending the entire day with my love.  Can't wait for next year!

I will never forget that day. It definitely was the best decision of my life.

Tyson is my best friend and I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else.

I fall more and more in love with him everyday.

I am so happy I get to keep him FOREVER!!!!

Huge Help

Last week was fantastic!  Tyson and I were finally able to move into our house and my mom and sister came to visit.  They were both saints for helping us move.  They brought in endless loads of boxes and clothes.  My mom did mine and Tyson's laundry, made homemade jam, brownies, cleaned all of my cupboards, floors, bathrooms, and so much more.  I don't know what I would have done without their help.

I also got spoiled having my mom here for Mother's Day.  I sure do love that lady.  She has been my greatest example.  She is so giving and never complains.  My mama is truly amazing!

My sister also brought her puppy with her to visit.  GiGi couldn't have been more thrilled.  She has been moping around all day, since they have left.

While they were here, we took the pups swimming.  It was hilarious to watch how much Cider loved the pool and how much GiGi hated the water.  She really thought I was trying to kill her.  Poor puppy!

Amongst all of the moving, we were still able to sneak in a little shopping, indulging in too many treats, and watching The Vow.  I don't know what I would do without my mom and sister.  Thank you again for your tremendous help!  Our house is now a home because of you.

Baby Parker

This little chunk

And this not so little chunk

are having a BABY!!!!

We are beyond thrilled to announce we are having our very own bambino.  It is going to be interesting to see how much this baby weighs.  I weighed over 9 pounds and Tyson weighed almost 12 pounds and was 23 1/2 inches long.  Pray for me!

It has been such a different experience this time around.  We have actually been able to see the baby move and hear the heartbeat, that being one of the best days of my life.  The baby is due November 30th, give or take a few days.  This Thanksgiving we are going to have a lot more to be thankful for.

Being pregnant has made me fall more in love with my husband every day.  The poor guy has been waiting on me hand and foot, not to mention giving me a massage every day.  He brings me food to work almost every day.  I have spent 90% of my first trimester in my bed, which means Tyson has been doing the laundry, cooking and cleaning.  He is the best husband and I know he is going to be the best dad ever!

I can now relate to all of those pregnancy symptoms my friends talk about.  I can't stand sweets.  I only want to eat potato chips and french fries.  I have to force myself to eat, which has been difficult because I love food.  It doesn't help that I crave Cafe Rio and Noodles and Company every day, knowing they are in Utah.

Speaking of Utah, we are going to Utah the first week of June and you better believe I am counting down the days.  Cortney my sister-in-law told me we should find out the sex of the baby, while we are in Utah.  I can't wait!

I am already so in love with this baby!
