Today is the BIG 3-0!  I can't believe I am no longer twenty and to be honest, I am kind of a fan of the thirties already.  There is something that rings so true to the saying, "one year older and wiser too."  I truly feel I have gotten a bit wiser every year and have been able to better myself in so many ways.  I have a long way to go, but am lucky for another year to stretch myself to new heights.  With that being said I have way more fun giving gifts than receiving them.

While we were in Newport we were staying in a house with Tyson's entire family and seeing as our girls are early risers, we made sure to take them out of the house first thing.  We found ourselves most mornings out on a walk or bike ride.  The girls were enthralled with one of the parks just down the boardwalk.

^^^^ P loves the swing and always has.  Now more than ever, she loves going high into the air.  It scares me half to death because no matter how high I push her, she doesn't think it's quite high enough. ^^^  

^^^ Who can forget spider on the swings.  Hearing P laugh and giggle is one of my favorite sounds. ^^^

^^^ We decided to see how high we could go and how far we could land, while jumping out of the swing.  You don't want to see my pictures.  I almost face planted and was one hot mess. ^^^

A Covered Goods GIVEAWAY *giveaway closed*

I am soooo excited to tell you all, about Covered Goods.  Ever since coming across their ever so versatile nursing covers, I have been hooked.  When it came to nursing, both of my girls have been all over the place.  I hardly nursed outside of my house with Penelope.  It was just too much work and I was always worried about flashing somebody.  I always envied those women who could whip it out anywhere.  P's arms and legs would flail all over and she couldn't concentrate on the task at hand.  When I found out I was pregnant with Lucy, I knew I had to try out the Covered Goods nursing cover.  I was willing to try anything that could help me nurse comfortably in public.

Not only are they soft, breathable, and easy to fold up but they come in the cutest prints ever.  One of my favorite features is the fact that it is full coverage, front and back.  I never once was self conscious while nursing Lucy out in public.  I love them so much I have two myself.

 While I am no longer nursing, I primarily use mine as a grocery cart cover.  It's wonderful not having to worry about all of the germs that I'm sure are covering my cart and it fits perfectly in my diaper bag, when I am not using it.  It has also come in handy when I have forgotten a blanket.  It is seriously so buttery soft.  You can even wear it as a scarf or use it as a car seat cover.

Holiday Gift Card Giveaway

I don't know about you, but my guest bedroom has turned into Santa's little workshop. I am going to do my best to get a head start on all of my wrapping this year. I even loaded up on craft paper last night and will soon be getting all the trimmings.  
I used to wait until Christmas Eve to get all my presents wrapped, but with two kiddos, I don't think that is such a good idea. It will be interesting to see if P leaves the presents untouched this year.  
I had friends who used to sneak under the Christmas tree, unwrap every gift and get an early peek at what was to come Christmas morning. As much as I wanted to do the same, I couldn't bring myself to ruin Christmas morning. My mom would draw codes on each gift tag, so she could distinguish who's gift was who's, between me and my siblings. I had my fun just trying to figure out what shape/code identified my gifts.

To welcome the season of giving and Thanksgiving I thought it only fitting to host a couple of giveaways for my awesome readers this month.  I am giddy with excitement having the holidays just around the corner.  I have the majority of my Christmas shopping already done and wow does it feel good.  I am seriously fighting back the urge to decorate for Christmas.  I am going to see how long I can hold off.  

As most of you may or may not know I wear leggings all the time, like everyday.  They were my go to item during pregnancy and I haven't quite been able to kick the habit.  I figure it's a step up from sweats, which I would live in every day if it were socially acceptable.  I just can't bring myself to wear jeans, unless I absolutely have to.

MadsMade Headbands Giveaway

One of my favorite things about having two little girls is being able to put a bow on their heads.  P still doesn't have a lot of hair on her head and refuses to let me clip a bow to her hair.  She will however allow for headbands.  She actually points to her head any times she notices she doesn't have one on.
