Life Lately In Squares

1. I decided to try out the half up half down top knot.  Tyson wasn't so sure about it, I on the other hand am a fan.  It takes me back to my childhood half pony tail days.  2. You can't beat the sunrise I get to experience every Saturday morning.  3. Sweet Lucy can pull herself up now and has even started heading up the stairs.  Mama is on high alert at all times.  4. Tyson and his teammates after one of their Saturday tournaments. Between these five guys, they have FIFTEEN girls and only three boys.
1. I can't get over P's hairs every time she jumps on the trampoline.  2. We finally got some rain here in California.  P gets so excited anytime she can slip into her rain boots.  3. My girlfriends and I went to the Lululemon grand opening in Fresno.  It was so much fun.  Absolute madness, but totally worth it.  We all left pretty happy girls.  4.  Again, that girl and her hair.
1. Our Friday nights usually consist of us getting take out and heading over to our friends house.  Between our six kiddos, two and under, it makes for lots of fun.  2. Lucy had her nine month check up and was chubby as can be and a little tiny shorty.  I love getting my babies stats.  3.  An oldie but a goodie, the cake I made for the fourth.  4. My sister-in-law Cara put some highlights in my hair.  I was super super nervous, only because I have hated my hair anytime I have tried going lighter.  I was surprisingly pleased this time around.
1. It's near to impossible these days, to get a normal smile out of P.  I am totally okay with it though.  2. We finally got P's hair into pig tails.  It was a big day at the Parker home.  3. P is obsessed with play dough and her sand dough.  I'm not so much a fan of either, but it makes her extremely happy, which is winning in my eyes.  4. On Thursday's I get a little alone time.  I am able to get grocery shopping and any other errands I have for that week done.  I treated myself to a delicious lunch at Tofa's.  Pretty much anything that has pesto on it, has my name all over it.
1 & 2: Yet another fun Saturday ride.  Our century is coming up sooner than we know.  3. I had so much fun ordering P and Lucy some fall clothes, from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  P found the box before I could hide her clothes.  4. P is OBSESSED with chocolate milk and my protein shakes.  She truly is a girl after my own heart.
1. Probably one of my favorite iphone pics ever.  2. P was a flower girl at the most beautiful weeding for the kindest sweetest bride we know.  3. P's tiara was my favorite part of her attire.  She felt like a princess all night long.  4. I seriously can't get enough of my Lucy girl.  She is getting chubbier by the second.
1. Sunday selfie's with my mini me.  2. P posing for the camera.  3. My motivation on last Saturday's ride.  Play dough Superman ice cream anyone?!  Seriously my favorite childhood ice cream flavor.  4. The agency is sponsoring our cycling team.  We got the fit kits in the mail the other day and couldn't help but pose for the cheesiest family photo ever.
1. The final countdown is on for our annual Newport Beach trip.  2. The nights are finally starting to cool down, which means family bike rides.  3. The first photo of these two together, ever.  Poor Gigi gets the wrath of P on a daily basis.  4. I finally caved and purchased Lucy an amber teething necklace.  I don't love the look of it so much.  But it seems to help our fussy teething girl.

Hope you are all having a FANTASTIC Tuesday!

Playing Catch Up

As usual life is crazy busy, but super fun!  Summer has brought lots of ice cream, swimming and many new memories.  Here is a quick catch up of what's been happening around here.

Some of the other wonderful instructors I got to teach with.  4.We celebrated Tyson's 31st birthday.  My friend Kimmy made the most unbelievable golf themed cake for him!

Lately P has loved hanging outside once the sun starts going down.  3. P could play airplane all day long.  Her hair kills me. 4. Lucy Marie in her new romper.  Baby rolls in rompers about does me in every time.

1. Little miss can't get enough of being outside.  2. My amazing mama sent me the most thoughtful and sweetest ray of sunshine package, in the mail.  It more than made my day.  3. My talented friend made me this Home Sweet Home sign and I couldn't love it more.  4. I am finally back to taking family pictures.  I loved this first session back.

Friday Photo Dump

Three cheers for the almost weekend!  I don't know about you, but I live for the weekends.  We have daddy all to ourselves and are able to get all of our errands ran.  As usual I have been terrible at updating the blog, so here is another way too long update, on what's been happening with the Parkers.
This sweet bug of mine loves to been warn.  I am able to get so much done and am obsessed with having my baby so close to me.  I would wear her all day if I could.
I finally did it!  I went to a movie all by myself.  I have been talking about doing this for years and finally decided to check it off my bucket list.  I had been dying to see Cinderella and wasn't sure if the two of us could get away.  It was the best thing I have done for myself, in a long time.  As an added bonus I got a free small popcorn.  I'm such a nerd, but I was so excited.  There is nothing like warm buttery popcorn, Red Vines and a large Diet Coke (that was before I committed to giving it up, more on that later).
Lucy is all over the place and getting bigger by the second.
A group of friends got together and took all of our little girls out on a date night.  We went and ate at House of JuJu and attempted Cinderella.  I didn't have high expectations, as P hardly watches an entire show all the way through, at home.  Plus I had already seen it, so I wouldn't be disappointed if we had to leave.  She last a little more than half way through.  I swear if the previews weren't a half hour long, she might have made it through the entire thing.  She was mesmerized by the Frozen clip.  I am already excited to try again.
One of my favorite things about Spring, is the tulips.  I couldn't resist getting myself a bundle.  Sometimes you just have to treat yourself.  I love the way they brightened up my kitchen.  If only I could have fresh flowers adorning every nock and cranny of my house.
Sweet Lucy wearing her Easter dress and looking like such a big girl sitting up.  P would have nothing to do with getting her picture taken, that day.
We have loved this Spring weather and have tried to get out most nights on a walk or bike ride.  I am obsessed with our double stroller and am happy we took the plunge.
P has loved going with me to my ortho appointments.  They have a bin full of wigs, hats, crowns and glasses.  Her favorites being the clown wig and the police glasses.  I crack up every time she puts something on.  I'm pretty sure she has to be a clown for Halloween!
Tyson and I traveled to Arizona for his friend Mike's wedding.  We of course had to make a pit stop at Cafe Rio.  It had been months since I enjoyed that amazing salad.  I'm already counting down the days till Newport, when I get to enjoy Cafe Rio every day.
The wedding venue was ridiculously gorgeous.  It was at Jade's aunts house.  It was the most unbelievable house I have ever seen.  It literally puts the homes you see on Crib's to shame.  We had a lot of good laughs and memories made from that trip.  A nine hour drive is nothing, when you don't have kids.
On our way home we were able to meet my sister and her hubby for lunch in Palm Springs.  It was so good to see my sister girl.  It had been way too long.  We had the most incredible cake shake, topped with a tiny decadent doughnut.  I want to go to Palm Springs again just for the shake.
These two have been loving going on bike rides with their daddy!  We got our friends a trailer for the triplets birthday and Tyson and Curtis have been taking the kids out nightly.  It's honestly the best thing I have ever seen.  If you follow my Instagram, you know what I am talking about.
Our sweet nanny Sam attended my Zumba class, a couple days before leaving to serve a mission for our church.  I didn't really think she would show up.  It was such a fun class full of energy.  I seriously love teaching Zumba, because I get paid to sweat and I swear going to the gym daily makes me a better mom.  Speaking of going to the gym, I have really started to try to eat healthy and work out six days a week.  It has been killer, but I knew it needed to happen.  Getting these last few pounds off from having Lucy has been rough.  We have two more weeks until we leave to Florida and am hoping all of my hard work will pay off.  I am still a bit apprehensive about putting on that darn bathing suit.
Every once in awhile we are able to meet daddy at Fort Washington for lunch.  I complain every time we go, because of the dress code.  I swear I get looked up and down every time I walk in there.  Ughh country clubs!  They don't approve of my mommy swag.    Once we make it past the gestapo it's always a great meal.  P wanted so badly to hit the course.  I am still trying to convince Ty to take me.
I don't know if I have said it before, but I am obsessed with Lularoe.  I picked up a pair of these leggings the other day and haven't taken them off since.  I have a fun collab coming up with them and can't wait to tell you more.
We have all been sick for what feels like weeks.  Runny noses, coughing and everything in between.  This was one of the few smiles I got out of Lucy on a particularly hard day.
I love this little trio of mine.
P has a thing for "wa wa" (water).  Anytime she spots a waterfall she heads straight for it.  She perched herself on the one, right outside Cheesecake Factory.  I foresee many successful days at the splash park this summer.
This girl!
My hair is finally starting to look longer.  No extension here!  I would still love for it to grow another six inches, but for now I am happy. My brothers always told me how much better I would look with long hair and never believed I would grow it out.  My little brother Josh gets home from his mission in September and I think he will be a bit surprised when he sees me.
My everything!
I was in charge of chocolate covered strawberries for a Relief Society activity.  I burnt the first batch of chocolate, but as soon as I figured out the trick to heating chocolate, it was smooth sailing.  I can't wait to make them again.  This time of year, delivers the most delish strawberries, fresh from the field.  I left our activity feeling so uplifted and recharged.
P couldn't wait to go to the dentist.  Silly me got the date wrong and showed up a day early.  I felt so bad telling P it wasn't her turn.  Luckily she forgave me and couldn't wait to go the following day.  She loved everything from the play house to the staff.  She gets the royal treatment at Dr. Powell's office.  I used to work there before I had P, so it always feels a little like going home when I am there.  I love catching up with all of my old co-workers.

Until next time! Hope you all have an amazing weekend.  I am going to attempt to run a 5k this weekend.  Will see how it goes on my injured ankle.  If you are in the area you should come JOIN.

Life Lately/Photo Dump

Holy smokes, I don't even know where to begin.  Life has been nothing short of a whirlwind over here.  I have been slacking on my blogging and it makes me kind of sad.  Honestly if I don't write it down, I have a hard time remembering things.  I love that I have this somewhat of a journal to record my families crazy outings and everything else in between.  I enjoy reflecting back on life and the lessons it has taught me thus far.  Now if only I could find the time to print out this here blog.  I had high hopes of printing off a new book every year, a sort of year book for my kiddos to have and look back through.  I am only fives years behind.  If you have any recommendations for where to have my blog printed, I will send you a huge hug across the universe.

With that being said, here is a recap of the last few months in a nutshell.
Tyson travels a lot for work, luckily it's not always over night and more often times than not, he brings back his girls some yummy treats.  Some clients of his introduced him to the most tasty cupcake bakery.  I seriously crave these cupcakes daily!
We have been going to Tyson's friend Austin's basketball games to support his team while he coaches.   P gets a kick out of watching the ball go back and forth all over the court.  During half time she enjoys getting her stretch on.
^^^ Another bonus to a traveling husband. ^^^
We were able to see Tyson's cousin marry his sweetheart in the Fresno Temple.  We took the girls and were able to walk the grounds with them.  It was also very special because Tyson's dad was the sealer.
^^^ Another one of the many Sunday pics we take before church.  We may never make it through the doors in time, but I will cherish these pics for years to come. ^^^
P has a thing for waffles and strawberries lately and likes her baby in matching pj's.
^^^ I have made this soup a ton over the past couple of months.  It's so so easy and delish.  If you want the recipe, check out my Instagram. ^^^
Lucy stays entertained for long amounts of time if she has stuffed animals or dolls at the tips of her fingers.
P went with me to the orthodontist and had a blast trying on different wigs in the waiting room.  I got myself invisalign in hopes to repair my lazy nights of not wearing my retainer.  It's working and I have Dr. Freeman to thank!
The only way we seem to manage to make our way through Target these days, is with a big bag of popcorn a drink and Lucy being carried in her Ergo carrier.  That thing is a lifesaver, I tell ya.
P is still so in love with going to dance class.  It's the highlight to our week.  I am dying for the recital to get here.
^^^ Yet another Sunday photo.  These here heels about murdered my feet. It's no wonder I only wear them once a week. ^^^
^^^ P is learning her letters and I have this puzzle to thank.  The P is her favorite letter of course.  She holds it close to her heart and rocks it back and forth, like it is a baby.  She's such a drama queen and I love it.  She identifies each letter with a name or thing.  M is for mimi, L is for Lucy, A is for apple, B is for Brielle, J is for Jana and so forth.  It's so fun to watch her learn. ^^^
^^^ She loves playing dress up, especially in her Le Hipsqueaks headband. ^^^
Lucy had her six month check up and is chunkier than ever.  Weight 82%, Height 50% and Head 74%.  We couldn't ask for a more perfect baby!
Our friend Curtis celebrated his 31st birthday and I offered to make the cake.  I don't know what I was thinking.  I asked his wife what type of cake he likes and she said strawberry.  I decided to do this very last minute and had this grand plan to make a homemade strawberry frosting.  The picture speaks for itself and shows how that all turned out.  Between the amount of strawberries, sticks of butter and lost count of boxes of powdered sugar I had this lovely pile of cake.  It looked terrible but ended up tasting amazing.  I salvaged what I could and frosted the remaining cake.  If you are ever planning on adding fresh strawberries to your frosting, make sure to not add the milk.
My sister-in-law Cara and I took the girls to Lululemon to get me some new sports bra's and did boy did Cara get a taste of motherhood.  We were one hot mess. P saw us trying things on, so she thought it necessary to take all of her clothes off.  She was running around the store naked opening other people's dressing rooms, Lucy was crying and I was trying my hardest to hurry and try my things on in between the mess.  It was bad!  We made it out without being banished from the store entirely.  We hit up a new restaurant in town called House of JuJu.  It was so tasty and have already been back since.
Lucy's first Sunday pic.  She is usually sleeping when we get to church.
^^^ This sweet girl has the craziest hair. ^^^
P couldn't decide whether or not she wanted to drink my sweet green monster.  Once she had a taste she drank it all up.
P was dying to try on my new running shoes.  They totally look like grandma shoes, but honestly they are so freaking comfy and now know why so many people swear by these shoes.
Poor Lucy got diagnosed with RSV last weekend.  She has been such a trooper with a smile on her face the entire time.  I hated hearing the words RSV because it took me back to the nightmare of P being hospitalized for over a week.  Luckily for all of us, Lucy has been responding great to her treatments and has avoided the hospital.  I also swear by the oils we have been using on her and defusing through the air when she sleeps and those cool air humidifiers work wonders.
^^^ P at church last Sunday rocking her un-ironed dress.  My mom gives me such a hard time about this.  There are just some things I refuse to do. ^^^
I die over this bunny onsie.  I am a sucker for holidays and can't wait for Easter!
Snuggles with my sweet P and proof that my retainer is working.
And to wrap this forever long post up, a sweet picture of P.  I love this girl so much and enjoy discovering new things with her every day.
