Three cheers for the almost weekend! I don't know about you, but I live for the weekends. We have daddy all to ourselves and are able to get all of our errands ran. As usual I have been terrible at updating the blog, so here is another way too long update, on what's been happening with the Parkers.
This sweet bug of mine loves to been warn. I am able to get so much done and am obsessed with having my baby so close to me. I would wear her all day if I could.
I finally did it! I went to a movie all by myself. I have been talking about doing this for years and finally decided to check it off my bucket list. I had been dying to see Cinderella and wasn't sure if the two of us could get away. It was the best thing I have done for myself, in a long time. As an added bonus I got a free small popcorn. I'm such a nerd, but I was so excited. There is nothing like warm buttery popcorn, Red Vines and a large Diet Coke (that was before I committed to giving it up, more on that later).
Lucy is all over the place and getting bigger by the second.
A group of friends got together and took all of our little girls out on a date night. We went and ate at House of JuJu and attempted Cinderella. I didn't have high expectations, as P hardly watches an entire show all the way through, at home. Plus I had already seen it, so I wouldn't be disappointed if we had to leave. She last a little more than half way through. I swear if the previews weren't a half hour long, she might have made it through the entire thing. She was mesmerized by the Frozen clip. I am already excited to try again.
One of my favorite things about Spring, is the tulips. I couldn't resist getting myself a bundle. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I love the way they brightened up my kitchen. If only I could have fresh flowers adorning every nock and cranny of my house.
Sweet Lucy wearing her Easter dress and looking like such a big girl sitting up. P would have nothing to do with getting her picture taken, that day.
We have loved this Spring weather and have tried to get out most nights on a walk or bike ride. I am obsessed with our double stroller and am happy we took the plunge.
P has loved going with me to my ortho appointments. They have a bin full of wigs, hats, crowns and glasses. Her favorites being the clown wig and the police glasses. I crack up every time she puts something on. I'm pretty sure she has to be a clown for Halloween!
Tyson and I traveled to Arizona for his friend Mike's wedding. We of course had to make a pit stop at Cafe Rio. It had been months since I enjoyed that amazing salad. I'm already counting down the days till Newport, when I get to enjoy Cafe Rio every day.
The wedding venue was ridiculously gorgeous. It was at Jade's aunts house. It was the most unbelievable house I have ever seen. It literally puts the homes you see on Crib's to shame. We had a lot of good laughs and memories made from that trip. A nine hour drive is nothing, when you don't have kids.
On our way home we were able to meet my sister and her hubby for lunch in Palm Springs. It was so good to see my sister girl. It had been way too long. We had the most incredible cake shake, topped with a tiny decadent doughnut. I want to go to Palm Springs again just for the shake.
These two have been loving going on bike rides with their daddy! We got our friends a trailer for the triplets birthday and Tyson and Curtis have been taking the kids out nightly. It's honestly the best thing I have ever seen. If you follow my Instagram, you know what I am talking about.
Our sweet nanny Sam attended my Zumba class, a couple days before leaving to serve a mission for our church. I didn't really think she would show up. It was such a fun class full of energy. I seriously love teaching Zumba, because I get paid to sweat and I swear going to the gym daily makes me a better mom. Speaking of going to the gym, I have really started to try to eat healthy and work out six days a week. It has been killer, but I knew it needed to happen. Getting these last few pounds off from having Lucy has been rough. We have two more weeks until we leave to Florida and am hoping all of my hard work will pay off. I am still a bit apprehensive about putting on that darn bathing suit.
Every once in awhile we are able to meet daddy at Fort Washington for lunch. I complain every time we go, because of the dress code. I swear I get looked up and down every time I walk in there. Ughh country clubs! They don't approve of my mommy swag. Once we make it past the gestapo it's always a great meal. P wanted so badly to hit the course. I am still trying to convince Ty to take me.
I don't know if I have said it before, but I am obsessed with Lularoe. I picked up a pair of these leggings the other day and haven't taken them off since. I have a fun collab coming up with them and can't wait to tell you more.
We have all been sick for what feels like weeks. Runny noses, coughing and everything in between. This was one of the few smiles I got out of Lucy on a particularly hard day.
I love this little trio of mine.
P has a thing for "wa wa" (water). Anytime she spots a waterfall she heads straight for it. She perched herself on the one, right outside Cheesecake Factory. I foresee many successful days at the splash park this summer.
This girl!
My hair is finally starting to look longer. No extension here! I would still love for it to grow another six inches, but for now I am happy. My brothers always told me how much better I would look with long hair and never believed I would grow it out. My little brother Josh gets home from his mission in September and I think he will be a bit surprised when he sees me.
My everything!
I was in charge of chocolate covered strawberries for a Relief Society activity. I burnt the first batch of chocolate, but as soon as I figured out the trick to heating chocolate, it was smooth sailing. I can't wait to make them again. This time of year, delivers the most delish strawberries, fresh from the field. I left our activity feeling so uplifted and recharged.
