Birthday Boy!!!!

Tyson has turned the BIG 27!

27 years ago, a 11.8 lb. 23.5 In. baby was born.

Can you BELIEVE it?

My husband was a chunk!

I am sure happy he was born.  We celebrated with a BBQ and his favorite banana cake.  I feel so lucky to get to share my life with Tyson.  He makes every day brighter and knows exactly how to make me feel better.  His smile makes me melt.  He is the most giving, selfless person I have ever met.  He truly brings out the best in me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE BUG!!!!

UTAH

This past week I have spent my time in the beautiful State of Utah!  I have felt completely spoiled being able to see all of my friends, some I haven't seen in over a year.  I didn't do much relaxing, but I did enjoy oodles and oodles of delicious food.

I got my fix of Cafe Rio, Eggs In The City, Cafe Trio, Loco Lizard, Dairy Keen, Tres Hombres, and Plates and Palates.

It is always great seeing my family.  There is nothing like walking through my mom's front door.  My family warned me that my little brother's hair was getting longer..... little did I know, I would be able to french braid it.

My cousin Abbey works at Centered City Yoga, located on 9th and 9th.  I have been dying to try this yoga that she has been raving about.  Let me tell you what, it is the HARDEST thing I EVER done.  No lie I was dripping sweat.  I am still sore, three days later.  If you ever get the chance, take the Core class. You won't regret it.

I loved being able to see my chubby baby nephew.  He has grown so much, since the last time I have seen him.  I couldn't get enough of his squishy legs.

Every time I come into town I like to spend quality time with my niece.  I had so much fun taking her to the Kamas Rec Center to swim, followed by pizza and ice cream.

I was able to hitch a ride with Emily to Utah because she was running in the Utah Valley Marathon.  I got to watch Emily run in her first marathon and watch Jessica cross the finish line in her first half marathon.  It was so inspiring to drive down Provo Canyon and cheer on these amazing people.  I seriously get choked up every time I watch an event like this.  It really makes me miss my bike.  I really want to find the joy in running, so that I can train to run a half (no desire to run a full).  My favorite part was watching everyone cross the finish line.

I loved catching up with all of my family and friends.  I can't wait to come back in one month for my sister's wedding.  More than anything though, I can't wait to get home to my husband and my puppy.  I miss them like crazy.  Who would have thought a year ago from now, I would be missing California this much.  I guess time really does change things.

Our New Addition

I had the best Anniversary surprise waiting for me on my doorstep.  Tyson was holding a puppy in his arms, with a golden ribbon around her neck.

My wish finally came true!

Meet Baby Girl Gi Gi.....

She is a Goldendoodle.  Tyson and I absolutely adore her.  We can't get enough of her brown eyes and her floppy ears.  It is hard to go anywhere because I just want to play with her.

I believe we may have crossed the line into the crazy dog lovers group.  Believe me before this little girl, I was not a fan.

We had our friends Shaun and Brooke snap some photos of us.  They are always so sweet and willing to help us.

Our One Year Anniversary was perfect!  We got GiGi and played with her all day and then went to dinner at Ruth's Chris.

I love my hubby and am grateful he caved and got us GiGi.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

About a month ago my sweet hubs booked a flight for my mama.  He knew just how much I missed her.  The anticipation for her arrival was immense.  Thursday afternoon I picked her up from the airport.  I couldn't see her, but I heard her voice calling my name.  I was so thrilled I got to spend some much needed time with her.

Some highlights of her trip

Sakanaya! Yum

Taco Wagon! Extra Yum

My mom happens to be the most incredible sewer.  I am obsessed with everything she makes.  I thought I would take advantage of the time and have her teach me how to sew, not that she didn't try when I was younger.  She made me a table runner and helped me get started on some baby blankets.

(If you are having a baby some time soon, you might get lucky enough to get one of my crocheted blankets.  However, don't look too close at the sewing job.)

I HAD to show my mom the puppies I have been talking about for over a year now.

Meet GiGi and my happy husband.....

How could you not fall in love with this face!

I really, really, really want one!

Yogurtland!  YUM, YUM, YUMMY!

Yes, her vacation may have been revolved around food, but that's what we do best!  My mom was even able to come to my first Zumba class.  Might I add, she did amazing!  We laid by the pool, talked for hours, ate lots of delicious food, and spent some quality time with each other.

Saying goodbye was awful.  I HATE goodbyes.  It was hard to drop her off at the airport.  I may have shed a tear or two, but thank heavens for Skype.

I love my mom and was so happy she came!  I look forward to many more visits from my mama.

One Year Anniversary

I can't believe how fast this past year has flown by.  One year ago tomorrow I married the man of my dreams.  Cliche, I know, but it's true.  I remember waking up that morning so incredibly excited, taking extra time to make sure my hair and makeup were perfect, and counting down each and every minute until I could get in the car with my mom to have her drive me to the Draper Temple.  I remember walking into the Temple so ecstatic to see Tyson.  We walked together into the sealing room hand in hand, filled with joy.  Words cannot describe the feeling that swept over me as I looked around and had so many people that I loved there to support us.  I remember looking into Tyson's eyes and feeling like I was the luckiest girl in the world.  I remember walking out of the Temple with Tyson as a newly married couple.  I remember my mouth hurting from smiling so much.  I LOVED my wedding day!  I will never forget the feelings that came over me that day.  I will never forget what it meant to me to dance with my dad's best friend Sam, for my daddy daughter dance.  I will never forget mine and Tyson's first dance.  I will never forget the generosity that everyone gave to us.

I love my man and can't wait for forever!
