Operation Gratitude: Dr. MacDonald

There are so many reasons why I love the month of November, mostly because it gives me the opportunity to reflect on all of the many things that I am grateful for.  I have felt an abundant sense of gratitude over this past year.  I believe having a child will do that to you.  My eyes have been opened and more importantly my heart has grown in depth and strength.  

Today and everyday I cannot thank my Heavenly Father enough for the miracles that were seen and felt throughout Penelope's heart surgery and recovery.  I am deeply indebted to Dr. Malcom McDonald, for giving me the gift of a thriving happy baby.  I have such a deep feeling of admiration when I think of him.  I will never forget him coming in and checking on our baby every day.  He even made it in on his days off.  I appreciate the daily sacrifices he makes, to save hundreds of children's lives.  What a blessing it is to have had him as Penelope's surgeon. 

I will forever be grateful for this picture that Stephanie Ryan captured.  You can see the glow in his face and the love that he has for each one of his patients.
