Tender Times
I got onto Facebook this afternoon to post a Giveaway on my photography page and stumbled across this video. It brought me to tears. Grab a tissue and get ready to taste the salt, as the tears will flow.
As if that video wasn't enough, my cousins posted a link to her blog. It about tipped me over the edge. She is one of my dearest cousins and someone I have loved and admired for as long as I can remember. We were roommates our first year of college. We had a freaking blast together. She has one of the most contagious laughs. You can't help but smile when you are around her. She has made me almost pee my pants, more times than I can even count. She is on a journey to battle alcoholism. This is something that is near and dear to my heart as my father struggled with the same thing. You can follow along with her journey here.
We are all handed different trials in our lives and it is up to us to decide our attitude towards them. I am grateful for each one of my trials and how they have helped shape me into something better. They have each broken me down and caused me to turn to my Father in Heaven. I admire so many around me and their examples of the way they face their trials. Mills I am rooting for you and know you got this!
